The successful relationship between T-Mobile and its leading authorized dealer, Ariba Mobile, goes back over 8 years.
It was at that time that Rick Mirza, Ariba Mobile’s founder, initiated an exclusive partnership with the major US wireless Uncarrier.
Mirza, who has several business interests including real estate, business financing, and asset management, has also been a stakeholder in the retail telecom business since 2003. Before T-Mobile, the Baltimore-born executive had operated several mobile outlets in California through CellComm, a multi-carrier (Cingular, Boost Mobile, etc.) and phone accessories dealer. CellComm had more than 98 locations and 330 employees when it was acquired.
Mirza brought this level of expertise to his partnership with T-Mobile when he opened Ariba Mobile’s first store in Livermore, California, in 2013.
Maintaining the second-to-none customer service standards set by T-Mobile, alongside Mirza’s own experience in retail, the quick success of the flagship store led to the opening of several other stores across Northern and Southern California.
Since then, Ariba Mobile has performed in T-Mobile’s top 10 percent of dealers nationwide in practically all metrics (activations, revenue, accessories, etc.) and it continues to grow.
With plans for 60 new Ariba Mobile stores in the pipeline and T-Mobile building fast on its 19 straight quarters of growth, all is set up for Ariba Mobile to become the most successful T-Mobile dealer in the country.
